Bible Verses about 'Ecclesiastes 3'

  • For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
  • He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
  • I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God's gift to man.
  • Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from a man's envy of his neighbor. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.
  • Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.
  • For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!
  • And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
  • When you vow a vow to God, do not delay paying it, for he has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you vow.
  • He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity.
  • When goods increase, they increase who eat them, and what advantage has their owner but to see them with his eyes?
  • As he came from his mother's womb he shall go again, naked as he came, and shall take nothing for his toil that he may carry away in his hand.
  • Behold, what I have seen to be good and fitting is to eat and drink and find enjoyment in all the toil with which one toils under the sun the few days of his life that God has given him, for this is his lot.
  • Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toil—this is the gift of God.
  • Say not, “Why were the former days better than these?”
For it is not from wisdom that you ask this.
  • In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him.
  • Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, the heart of the children of man is fully set to do evil.
  • Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart, for God has already approved what you do.
  • The words of a wise man's mouth win him favor,
but the lips of a fool consume him.
  • As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.
  • Remove vexation from your heart, and put away pain from your body, for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.
  • Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near of which you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”.
  • The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.
  • For in much wisdom is much vexation,
and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.

Random Bible Verse

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
whose trust is the Lord.
He is like a tree planted by water,
that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
for its leaves remain green,
and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit.
